The modern art museum was established in 1892 and Maria Price is its director at present. It has over 2,600 works of art in its 53,000 square feet of gallery space. Its permanent collection includes more than 3000 work pieces by Robert Motherwell and such artists. The present building was designed by a Japanese architect, Tadao Ando, and got open for public in 2002.
