The stockyard was once a second largest cattle market in the world. In the year 1976 it was renovated for tourism. It is the home to many beautiful shopping centers and has a number of good restaurants.
The district has interesting people living here like horse traders, hog dealers, butchers, cattleman, cowboys and skinners. The district has got a small children’s amusement park.
