Things to Do in Fredericksburg, Texas: attractions to See in Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg: Attractions and more...

The culture of this charming town can be explored at the George Bush Gallery (with its World War II exhibits) and the Pioneer Museum.

The picturesque Hill Country Golf Course has beautiful oak trees lining the course’s three lakes and makes for an excellent photograph. Fort Martin Scott (one of the first army forts in Texas), Pioneer Village Complex (a quaint eighteenth-century village) and the Bat Tunnel (which has the state’s largest concentration of bats visible at dusk) are other places of interest.

Marktplatz (Market Square) lies in the heart of the town and gets transformed during the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest in October. Also, in the same month is the Oktoberfest, a celebration of German heritage which should not be missed.

Before heading out of Fredericksburg, visit the famous country music community of Luckenbach which has seen the likes of Willie Nelson and Pat Green making concert appearances.
