There are several family oriented events each year at the Freeport Municipal Park. The Texas Joy Ride Rod Run is a unique event at this park. During this event, hundreds of antique cars from all over the United States take part and spend a good weekend here. The Fourth of July celebration is well known for its traditional and well known Fishing Fiesta. Some other events are Riverfest, Kid Fish and Easter Egg Hunt.
