Grapevine can be described as a city located in county of Tarrant, Texas, US. Also, it happens to be suburb with regards to ‘Fort Worth’ and ‘Dallas’.
Previously, Grapevine was known as ‘Grapevine Prairie’. In the month of October, in the year 1843, this region got opened for settlement by pioneers and homesteaders. The name ‘Grapevine’ was given owing to location on its part on ‘Grape Vine Prairie’ adjoining Grape Vine Springs. Both these names were inspired due to ‘wild mustang grapes’ which had blanketed this region.
As per US Census Bureau, total area of Grapevine is 92.9 sq. Km; out of which 83.6 sq. Km consists of water. This place has ‘sublime’ climate. In other words, this place receives scanty rainfall.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Grapevine was recorded to be 42059; with its density being 503.1 per sq. Km. Around 4.8%25 of total population was found to be below poverty line.
