The Lyndon B. Johnson Space Centre ("JSC") is situated in southeast Houston, Texas and it is made up of over one hundred buildings in an area of 1,620 acres.

The United States Astronaut Corps is situated at the Centre and it provides training for astronauts both from the U.S. and its international partners.

Space Centre Houston is the Official Visitor Centre for Johnson Space Centre.

It houses several hardware and space artefacts like Gemini Capsule, Lunar Rover vehicle trainer and Skylab trainer mock-up. It also provides a Tram Tour of NASA which covers locations like Building 9 (containing Space Vehicle Mockup Facility), building 30 (Mission Control Centre) and Rocket Park (housing Saturn V besides other things). It also has an IMAX Theatre called Northrop Grumman Theatre which displays space-related movies. Destiny Theatre has a stand where J F Kennedy announced the safe launching and landing of the shuttle on surface of the moon and its subsequent return to Earth. The SCH is the only place on Earth where guests can understand the history of the space program, experience the present and get a chance to be a part of the future space program
