Besides being the homeland of Laura Bush, Midland has lots of other attractions for its visitors. The Clydesta Atrium, located at Desta Drive, houses a huge collection of fish, birds, streams and tropical plants.
Putt Putt Fun Centre is a place, where the complete family can have a good time. It features video games, go-carts, batting cages and miniature golf. Hero's Water World is yet another place for family outings. This is a 20 acre huge water park.
The American Airpower Heritage Museum lies on an area of 40,000 sq. ft. The museum exhibits the wonders of airpower used in World War II. Several artefacts, uniforms and photographs of World War II are on display in the museum.
Midland County Library is located in West Missouri. The library houses a huge collection of books, computers with internet facility and audiovisual CDs.
The Haley Memorial Library and History Centre holds more than 30,000 volumes exhibiting the history, politics and other aspects of Midland.
