The Market Square is the historical center and heart of the city’s Mexican culture. The specialty of this place is that it is the largest Mexican market place outside of Mexico. Here we can find Mexican food at several cafes, enjoy the lively sounds of Mariachi bands, and can buy wonderful blankets, clothes, leather and metal goods. The square plays host to many cultural events and fairs throughout the year, including Fiesta del Mercado in April and Dia De los Muertos in November.
