The Aquarena Center is set over 90 acres of land and is under the directons of the Texas State University in San Marcos. It aims at preserving and protecting this historical and ecological site and the endangered and rare species of the region. The ecological tours in the Aquarena center allows visitors to enjoy the Glass bottom boat rides and the delights of the Aquarium featuring a 5400 gallon tank containing the native and endangered species.
