The city of Waco is situated in McLennan County in central Texas, USA. Located on the Brazos River, the city covers an area of 247.4 sq km and has a population of around 110,000.

Waco enjoys warm temperatures and sunny skies for most of the year. The summer temperature ranges from 23°C to 35°C. In winter, the temperature ranges from 2°C to 13°C.

Waco is named after the Hueco Indians, the first inhabitants of this area. Even though many industries and businesses have been established in the city, Waco is still a predominantly agricultural community.

The city’s landscape is made of rolling prairies. A stroll along the Brazos River gives visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of the locals. Outdoor attractions in Waco include Cameron Park, which is famous for golf, canoeing, hiking, and the Cameron Park Zoo.
