Things to Do in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah: attractions to See in Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park: Attractions and more...

Bryce Canyon is unique for its red, orange and white Hoodoos, which are distinctive geological formations shaped as a result of wind, water and erosion of sedimentary rocks. At Coyote Buttes, one can come across The Wave and the Second Wave which are spectacular swirling sandstone formations.

At the crossroads of the three parks is the town of Kanab, which has a history of being a favoured location for the filming of various western movies.

Sunrise Point, Inspiration Point, Bryce Point and Sunset Point (overlooking the large Bryce Amphitheatre) are excellent places to experiment with landscape photography. Ancient Pueblo-period Anasazi artefacts and creations of the twelfth century Fremont culture can be found south of the park.

The park even has a festival of its own. The Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival in June hosts star-gazing events for the thousands of park visitors, alongside programs on astronomy and the night sky.
