Moab is situated in Grand County in Utah, USA. Located on the Colorado River, the city covers an area of 9.4 sq km. It has a varied landscape with scenic red rock cliffs on both sides and surrounded by a gorgeous desert terrain.

Moab has a moderate climate with short, mild winters and hot, dry summers. The summer temperature varies from 17°C to 37°C, while the winter temperature ranges from –8°C to 5°C.

Moab was transformed from a small agricultural community to a mining centre after the discovery of uranium in the 1950s. Tourism is the primary industry in this city with a population of around 7,000.

Moab is known as a Utah adventure capital. The lower elevations of the city are perfect for hiking and golfing. In winter, the red rock valleys are blanketed with snow which not only offers a beautiful view but also provides skiing and snowmobiling. The Arches National Park and the Slickrock Bike Trail are popular attractions.
