Ogden is the county seat of Weber County in Utah, USA. Located at the base of the Wasatch Front and flanked by the Rocky Mountains, the city covers an area of 69 sq km.
The climate in Ogden is characterized by low humidity. In summer, the average temperature is 24°C, while the average winter temperature is –3°C. Spring and fall have an average temperature of 10°C.
Settled in 1845 on the Weber River, this one-time farming community rapidly grew after becoming the centre for the intercontinental railroad. Today, the city has a population of around 79,000.
Ogden has some of the most spectacular mountain trails and views which make it a great place for sports and other outdoor activities. Seated at the intersection of the Ogden and Weber Rivers, the city is a great destination for fishing. Powder Mountain and Snowbasin are popular ski resorts. The Hill Air Force Base is another major attraction in Ogden.
