In the North-Central portion of the Utah State in the United States, Orem is a city that is located in the Utah County. Orem is situated 45 miles towards the South of Salt Lake City and is adjoining Vineyard, Lindon and Provo. Orem is the sixth-largest city in Utah and one of the main cities in the Provo-Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The gross area of the city is 18.4 square miles and this is entirely occupied by land. The elevation of the city is 4,774 feet. Towards the East and South, the city shares a border with Utah and Provo. Orem had developed at the foothills of Mount Timpanogos. The culture is marked by the Storytelling Festival celebrated every year.
As per the 2000 census, the population of Orem is 84,324.
