The Manti-La Sal National Forest is situated in the Southeastern and Central sections of the Utah State in the United States as well as the extreme Western section of Colorado. This forest is spread over an area of 1,270,646 acres. A major section of this forest is spread over a mountain range close to Moab, Utah which is known as the La Sal range. Mount Peale has the maximum elevation in this range which is 12,721 feet.
