Riverton is a city which is situated in Salt Lake County, in United States. Riverton is one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Utah. Riverton was ranked as the 60th best place to live in the United States by CNN Money Magazine. The city is located in the Southwestern corner of the Salt Lake valley about 32 kilometer south and slightly west of Salt Lake City. It shares its borders with South Jordan to the North, Draper to the East, Bluffdale to the South, and Herriman to the West. The area of the city of Riverton is about 32.6 square kilometers. Riverton receives an average precipitation of 400mm each year. Snow can be seen in the winter season and the temperature in summer is occasionally 38 degree C. The city is very active throughout the year due to a large number of activities being carried out here all the time. As per the census recorded in year 2004, the population residing in this city is slightly above moderate i.e. around 25,011 people. The population density is a bit high in this town.
