The Children‘s Museum of Utah was opened in 1983. It is located in the Wasatch Warm Springs building two miles north of downtown Salt Lake City.
Everything is designed with kids in mind. On the second floor is the garden, where kids can play music together on a giant marimba. Just behind the garden is the kid’s eye view, a kid-sized town where kids can shop in the market and build structures in the construction zone.
On the third floor the museum features a story factory, where kids enjoy and see the stop-motion animated film, studio where the worlds of science, invention, and art meet. The museum’s outdoor terrace houses Savings Lives from the Sky, which includes a Life Flight helicopter for visitors to learn about rescue operations.
