Situated in the heart of the Salt Lake City, Utah, the Capitol Theatre opened in 1913. This historic landmark is home to the Utah Opera Company, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company and the Ballet West. Touring theater groups, plays and other events sponsored by outside promoters are performed here. This theater was exclusively designed by G. Albert Lansburgh and was originally built as part of the Orpheum Theater chain. At present, the building is hosting world class Broadway productions community arts education programs. This theater is listed on National Register of Historic Places.
