South Jordan is a section of Salt Lake City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is a city in Salt Lake County in Utah. Since the early 1990s, this city is one of the fastest growing cities in Utah. South Jordan is the first city in the world that has two LDS temples – Oquirrh Mountain Temple and Jordan River Temple. The city is bounded by Herriman to the Southwest, Riverton to the South, Draper to the Southeast, the Jordan River and Sandy to the East, West Jordan to the North and the Oquirrh Mountains to the West. Close to the Jordan River, the elevation of the city is 1310 meters and close to the foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains the elevation is 1580 meters.
