On 24th of April, 1996, Taylorsville got incorporated from Taylorsville-Bennion CDP as well as portions of Kearns CDP.
The region known as Taylorsville today consists of 3 historic communities within central portion of county of Salt Lake: Kearns, Bennion, and Taylorsville.
