Tourist Guide Bennington
The city of Bennington is situated in Bennington County in Vermont, USA. Located between the Taconic and Green Mountains, the town covers an area of 110 sq km and has a population of around 20,000.
The town is known for the Battle of Bennington, fought during the Revolutionary War. A 306-foot-high stone obelisk, known as the Bennington Battle Monument, commemorates the event and is the tallest structure in Vermont.
Summers are warm with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 14°C, while winters are cold with temperatures ranging from –1°C to –10°C.
Surrounded by lush forested lands in the mountain ranges, Bennington provides ample recreational opportunities. Natural beauty coupled with fantastic architecture makes the town a visual delight.
