Tourist Guide Brandon

Brandon is situated in Rutland County in Vermont, USA. Located on the Neshobe River among the Green Mountains, the town covers an area of 104 sq km and has a population of around 6,000.

First settled in 1775, Brandon quickly became an important mill town. After the arrival of the Burlington-Rutland Railroad in 1849, the town became a centre for the manufacture of railroad cars. Brandon’s history comes alive in its vibrant downtown area.

Summers are warm with temperature ranging from 27°C to 12°C. Winters are accompanied by snowfall with temperatures varying from –1°C to –12°C.

The town is blessed with a beautiful landscape surrounded by farmlands and ski resort areas. Owing to its fertile land and pleasant climate, Brandon is a commercial, agricultural and tourism centre. The terrain is conducive to adventure activities like hiking, biking and mountain climbing in summer and skiing in winter.
