Londonderry is situated in Windham County in Vermont, USA. Located on the West River, the town covers an area of 92.9 sq km and has a population of around 3,000.
Londonderry was first established along with Windham as a single town known as Kent which was later separated into two distinct towns. Blessed with fertile land and streams, agriculture plays an important role in the town’s economy.
Londonderry’s climate is characterized by mild summers and cold winters. Summer temperatures range from 27°C to 14°C, while winter temperatures vary from –11°C to 1°C.
The town includes the village of South Londonderry which has its distinct charm. Nestled in the scenic beauty of the Green Mountains, the town offers outdoor recreational activities throughout the year. In summer, the mountains trails are used for hiking and biking, while in winter, the snow covered mountains become ski areas.
