Woodstock is a nice quaint town which has still retained its ‘small-town’ feel despite of being a shire town of a prominent county. There are many Federal style houses situated on the banks of the Ottauquechee River.
The town also has many landmarks which are a must-see. The foliage season is the most visited season and it is heavily recommended to book your tickets in advance. Cycling and skating activities are on offer on selected routes.
The Woodstock Country Club is a perfect destination for sports travelers. It offers a vast golfing course, spread across the Kedron River Valley. They also have very friendly and helpful staff.
People looking for an exciting nightlife can enjoy at the various inns in the town and which offer exquisite beverages. Farmhouses in the town also provide wine tasting for wine-lovers.
