The area of the city of Abingdon is about 21.6 square kilometers. As the city is located in the north western region of USA the weather is hot in summers as well as winters. The temperature in this region is usually high throughout the year. The lowest temperature recorded here is about 20 degrees and the average temperature here in summer is around 57 degrees. Rainfall in the form of minor showers is not so very frequent in this region. As per the census recorded in year 2004, the population residing in this city is slightly above moderate i.e. around 7,938 people.
