Tourist Guide Franconia
The state of Virginia in the United States has the Fairfax County in which Franconia is a census-designated place. Towards the Northeast of Franconia lies Alexandria. Franconia has a total area of 7.2 square miles and this is entirely occupied by land. This community encompasses a major part of Kingstowne and several other neighborhoods like Windsor Park, Manchester Lakes and Hayfield. The community extends further southwards and has a border with Fort Belvoir. Since the 1870s, Franconia has its presence as a community, however it was only during the 1950s that it began to develop and the present, suburban form began to emerge. In the past, a station by the name of Franconia was opened on the RF&P railroad.
As per the 2000 census, the population of Franconia was 31,907.
In January, the temperature varies from 23.93 to 44.18 degrees Fahrenheit. In July, the temperature alters from 65.07 to 87.07 degrees Fahrenheit. The precipitation is 43.66 inches per year.
