McLean is an unincorporated area in Fairfax County of Northern Virginia. The geographical co ordinates of the area are 38° 55’ 42” N, 77° 10’ 31” W. The total population of the community as per the census of 2000 was 38,929. The population density was 812.7 per km sq. The community has a total area of 47.9 km sq which is mostly covered by land. McLean community enjoys a pleasant weather with a minimum temperature of 25°F in January and a maximum temperature of 85°F in the summer. It remains cool with an average precipitation of 5 inches. In the winter season it enjoys an average snowfall of 6.5 inch. It is home for many major company headquarters like Bearingpoint, Booz Allen Hamilton, Cardinal Bank, Freddie Mac, Capital One, Mars, Microstrategy, NVR, Sunrise Senior Living, and USA today.
