The independent city of Norfolk is situated in Hampton Roads in Virginia, USA. Located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, the city covers an area of 249.4 sq km and has a population of around 241,000.
Norfolk enjoys a temperate climate moderated by its proximity to the Gulf Stream. Summers are warm with temperatures ranging from 31°C to 22°C, while winters are cold with temperature ranging from 8°C to 1°C.
