There are no specific warnings for the tourists visiting Petersburg in Virginia. However, visitors can take care of certain things while roaming in the city. The weather is quite unpredictable in this area so one is advised to carry a variety of clothes.
Some of the shopkeepers may behave rudely with the tourists. Visitors should either not pay attention to their behavior or simply step out of the store. Picking up a quarrel may lead into unnecessary complexities.
Hence, one should simply ignore such behavior so as not to ruin their holidays. If visitors have rented a bicycle or a bike to roam around the city, they must pay attention towards the traffic rules.
In some parts of Petersburg, separate bike lanes are provided on the sides of the roads. These must be used by those riding a bicycle or a moped. It is best to ride the bicycles on the right hand side of the highways, to be on the safer side.
