It is blessed with a long waterfront that is located along the River Elizabeth. The marine terminals are an important aspect of Portsmouth's economy.
Due to the presence of the seashore, the climate in this city remains mild and pleasant for most of the time. Tourists enjoy various outdoor activities all round the year.
The seasonal and temperate climate in the city brings hot and humid summers and chilly and snowy winters. Summer and spring are the wettest seasons. It is the most favourable place in terms of storm attacks.
