The Richmond Castle situated in Richmond in North Yorkshire was originally known by the name, “Riche Mount”, the strong hill. This castle was constructed in 1071 and overlooks the River Swale. Once inside the castle, one can see an exhibition center housing some of the excavated artifacts from the castle grounds. From atop this castle, one can get breathtaking view of the entire city.
