There are more than 100 Richmond parks, from neighborhood playgrounds to sweeping nature preserves, as the region is poised for adventure. There are playgrounds with swimming pools, courts and ball fields.Richmond has its share of historical milestones during the past 400 years. Richmond is the home to a large number of sporting events, concerts, festivals, and trade shows and is also home to the Richmond Renegades of the Southern Professional Hockey League and the Richmond 2010 entry in the American Indoor Football Association. The Colonial Athletic Association has hosted its annual men's basketball tournament at the Coliseum.
