The Blackfriars Playhouse, is the sole existing replica of Shakespeare's Blackfriars Theatre. The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library carefully maintains the records dating back from the Civil War to the birth of present Modern America.
The site is adjacent to the Woodrow Wilson Museum and boxwood gardens. The rich past of America comes alive at Museum of American Frontier which houses 4 different reconstructed farms which showcases the working of the bygone era.
Visitors can roam freely at the site and also take part in various interactive activities. Out of ten different historic hotels in the city, only Stonewall Jackson Hotel now remains operational and offers a conference center.
The city has plenty of parks and gardens. Montgomery Hall Park encompasses around 148 acres of land and has multi-purpose facilities. It employs tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness and hiking trails, soccer and softball fields and much more.
Gypsy Hill Park is another such multi-purpose facility. The Gypsy Express Mini-Train is the park’s main attraction. Nelson Street Teen Center and Booker T Washington Community Center are known for hosting many of the community activities.
