Centralia city is situated in Lewis County in Washington. It was officially incorporated in 1886. This city was the site of the infamous Centralia Massacre in 1919.

In 1940, the population was 7,414.The population of the city was 14,742 as per the 2000 census.  As of 2009, the population reached 15,665, and since 2000, it was a population growth of almost 5.89 percent.

Seattle based rock band, Harvey Danger uses Centralia city as a metaphor in its song, Moral Centralia, in their 2005 album Little by Little.
