The city of Chelan is a scenic resort community having 3,800 residents at the edge of the Cascade Mountains located on the shore of Lake Chelan. Chelan is located in Chelan County in Washington and Lake Chelan flows into the Chelan River. Officially incorporated in 1902, Chelan has a total area of 3.9 square miles, of which 3.8 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water.
This city is warm during the summer season with 70 degrees Fahrenheit and cold during the winter season, with 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest month of the year is the August which experiences an average maximum temperature of 84.90 degrees Fahrenheit. January is known as the coldest month with an average minimum temperature of 21.90 degrees Fahrenheit.
The city has evenly distributed rainfall throughout the year. The month of December is regarded as the wettest month of the year with an average rainfall of 1.74 inches.
