Tourist Guide Friday Harbor
The town of Friday Harbor is the seat of San Juan County in Washington, USA. Located on the San Juan Islands, it covers an area of 3.7 sq km.
The town was officially incorporated in 1909. Friday Harbor, with a population of around 3,000, depends heavily on tourism.
The Cascade Mountains and the ocean tides protect the town from cold, northerly winds. Summers are pleasantly warm with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 10°C. Winters are accompanied by light snowfall with temperatures ranging between 7°C and 1°C.
Friday Harbor is the only full-fledged town and port in the San Juan Islands. Its location makes it conducive to water-based activities like kayaking, boating and swimming. The city not only attracts tourists but also photographers who want to frame the natural scenery. The San Juan County Courthouse and Lime Kiln Lighthouse are popular landmarks of the town.
