Issaquah is located in King County of Washington in United States.

It is one of the rapidly growing communities in Washington where logging and mining was the principal mode of earning revenue. Surrounded with cascades this place is known as “Issaquah Alps” because of the mountains Tiger and Squak. Although the name Issaquah is a term in local Native American that means sounds of birds.

The city was incorporated in the year 1892. When the mining deposits were depleted in late 1890s the economy of this city started focusing on other business activities. But with the Great Depression most of the companies couldn’t sustained. Then from the year 1996 the place again started booming and finally the economic conditions improved.

With a population of 11,212 according to the year 2000 census this place is favorite among tourists.

The place experiences a climate that is pleasant, although there are heavy showers in the months of March and April.
