Tourist Guide Olympia
The city of Olympia is the capital of Washington and the county seat of Thurston County, United States. The city is located on the southern end of Puget Sound and provides a splendid view of the Olympic Mountains in the north-west. It has a population of approximately 45,000 residents.
Olympia is an ancient city. It had been inhabited by the Lushootseed-speaking people for many years before the first documented settlement by the Europeans in 1792. The city has now developed into a bustling metropolis and a hub for artists and musicians.
The city is characterised by a mild subtropical climate and experiences warm summers and rainy, cold winters. May and June are the best months to visit the place.
