Orcas Island is situated in San Juan County in the state of Washington, USA. With an area of 148.4 sq km, it is the largest of the San Juan Islands.
Located in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, the Orcas Island enjoys a temperate climate. Summers are warm and sunny with an average temperature of 18°C, while winters are mild with an average temperature of 8°C.
The horseshoe-shaped island has a diverse terrain consisting of lush forests, farm valleys, placid lakes and stunning mountains surrounding a beautiful fjord. Mount Constitution, located in the Moran State Park, offers a panoramic view of the island and the surrounding waters.
