Funhouse is an entertainment center that is mostly enjoyed by the youth. It has special teen parties on Friday and Saturday nights.

It also conducts special events and has a discovery center too. Moran State Park is another recreation place as it has 5 lakes and 150 campsites.

Scuba diving is done in Island Dive and Water Sports center, where one can rent gear fills and also buy equipment. Places of high importance here are Orcas Island Historical Museum, Crow Valley School Museum and Orcas Island Library.

Woodinville is around 102 miles towards the south east and Seattle is 112 miles again in the south east, these places are good destinations to enjoy holidays.

The most important event for any person in Orcas Island is their Independence Day that is celebrated on 4th of July with great pomp.

They celebrate this event at the Waterfront Park in Eastsound and they celebrate it with fireworks and concerts.
