Washington, United States, has the Franklin County in which there exists a city called as Pasco. This city lies in southeastern Washington. The Tri-Cities region of Washington is made up of 3 cities – Richland, Kennewick and Pasco. This Tri-Cities is a medium sized metropolitan region that has a population of almost 0.23 million. The gross area of Pasco is 30.2 square miles out of which 28.1 square miles is land and water fills about 2.1 square miles. The neighboring cities of Kennewick and Richland are separated from Pasco by the huge Columbia River. This river is on the southern border of Pasco. This city lies in the rain shadow region of the Cascade Mountain Range.
As per the 2007 census, the population of Pasco is 52,647.
The temperature in Pasco alters from 10 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter and soars to 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. Precipitation is 7 to 8 inches per year. Sunshine exists for more than 300 days in a year.
