Bumbershoot is an annual international music and arts festival which is held in Seattle. Moreover, it is known as one of the North America’s largest festivals. The event takes place every Labor Day weekend at the 74 acre Seattle Center built in 1962 World’s Fair. The festival name was taken from bumbershoot, a colloquial term for umbrella used in19th century as a portmanteau of parachute and umbrella.
