The Tacoma Art Museum was founded by a group of volunteers in 1935. Since then it has grown to become a national model for regional middle sized museums. This museum is fully dedicated to exhibit and to collect some of the best Northwest art and with a mission of connecting people through art. Some of the permanent collection in this museum is the premier collection of Dale Chihuly’s glass artwork on permanent public display.
