Vancouver is the seat of Clark County in Washington, USA. Located along the north bank of the Columbia River, the city covers an area of 119.5 sq km.
Founded in 1824, Vancouver is the oldest continuously inhabited white settlement in Washington. The historic site of Fort Vancouver was established here by the Hudson Bay’s Company in 1825. Incorporated in 1857, the city has become a commercial, manufacturing and shipping centre with a population of around 160,000.

The Cascade Mountains dominate the scenic landscape. The Colombia River Gorge is an ideal spot for adventure sports and a peaceful cruise down the river. Beacon Rock, the world’s second largest monolith, lets visitors discover the abundant natural beauty of the city.
