Fort Vancouver National Historic Site contains a Fort which was originally built in 1825 and was an outpost for fur trading and served as a home of Hudson's Bay Company.
Apart from a collection of various historical buildings, there are live history demonstration tours which cover areas like the kitchen, bake-house, blacksmith shop and carpenter shop. Each year on 4th July, there is an amazing fireworks display, which is considered as the biggest on the Mississippi west side.
Vancouver Farmer’s Market which is held on weekends specializes in fresh fruits and vegetables and also sells arts and crafts.
Frenchman's Bar Park is a small beach alongside Columbia River. It has number of picnic tables and large part of the property is dedicated to the wildlife area. Beach Volleyball is played on some part of the park. One can also see various freighters that are anchored in the river.
Frenchman’s Bar Trail originates from the park and connects Vancouver Lake Park. It is used for both walking and biking and horse rides are also available. Shillapoo Wildlife Area is located on the west and north sides of the Lake park.
Officers Row offers a series of 19th century Victorian buildings.
