Tourist Guide Winthrop
Winthrop is located in the northern part of the state of Washington in the USA. This town with a population of approximately 350 inhabitants still has the feel of a town straight out of an old American Western movie because of its buildings and layout.
July and August are the warmest months; the average maximum temperature at this time is 30°C. During winter, the average minimum temperature is –11.7°C with maximum snowfall in the months of January and February.
Winthrop came up with the development of mining activities in the area. Initially, it was only a stopping point for miners. But, at the end of the nineteenth century a trading post was set up here, and soon the region became a distribution hub.
Winthrop has become a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure sports enthusiasts. During winter, it is a bustling ski resort town.
