H.M. Gilbert Homeplace is a farmhouse built in a Victorian style and is on the listing of the National Register of Historic Places. The place is furnished with period antiques and serves as a perfect example of the early 20th century lifestyle.

Yakima Area Arboretum is situated on forty-six acres of land containing a living museum and a botanical garden. It also houses the sole horticultural library in Yakima Valley.

Sundquist Research Library and Archives stores a huge amount of variety of research materials and archives. This includes thousands of photographs, maps, newspapers, clippings and so on. It also has a number of local history books and documents.

Fort Simcoe State Park is located on two-hundred acres of land and is situated at the foothills of the Cascade Mountain. It contains 5 original fort-buildings. Each year it also hosts special events like tribal dances, antique car and military displays.

The Yakima valley also has a number of wineries and breweries.
