New River George National River is a white water river which flows through the deep canyons is the oldest in the continent and encompasses more than seventy thousand acres of land. Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and Museum displays the actual working areas of the coal mines from the history of coal mining to the modern era and is one of the largest projects in the region which now also has an extended gift shop and visitor’s services.
