Chantilly is considered as an unincorporated community located in Fairfax County to the southeastern Loudoun County of North Virginia. The community population was 41,041 as of the 2000 census. Chantilly is also named after the town with the same name in France.
During the Civil War, the battle of Chantilly took place. Although most of the Ox Hill battlefield is covered with residential and commercial development, there is a small county park which still preserves five acres of portion of the battle site.
