Stealey Goff Vance House is the headquarter of the Harrison County historical society. This house is also known as Amy Roberts Vance House. This historical house was named after Jacob Stealey who traveled all the way from Baltimore to Lancaster. This house belonged to him and features an eight foot hall way that extends to 24 feet outer wall of the house. In the year 1934 Amy Roberts Vance, widow of J Carl Vance was allotted this house. She rebuilt it and put some of the cultural and historical life of the Clarksburg community.
